Refunds & cancellations

Subscriptions
- Cancel any time from your account page (Billing). You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Duly Paid subscriptions are for businesses and organisations (including sole traders buying for their trade), not consumers, so the 14-day consumer cancellation period doesn't apply. Nothing here limits any rights you have by law.
Pay-as-you-go Letters Before Action (£7)
A pay-as-you-go letter is a digital product unlocked immediately for one invoice, so it isn't refunded for a change of mind. If the letter can't be produced because of a fault on our side, or the figures are wrong because of our error, email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. If we refund a letter you haven't sent yet, it's locked again on that invoice; a letter you've already sent stays available for your records.
Card disputes
If a card payment is disputed with your bank and the dispute is decided against us, what it paid for ends: a disputed subscription payment ends the plan straight away, and a disputed letter is locked again on its invoice unless it has already been sent.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Once we've sent a refund, it normally shows on your statement within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
